VGF has a diverse creative background, as well as his family heritage, which has fostered his love of storytelling in words and art.
VGF grew up with Aboriginal family heritage and spent many hours listening and learning tales about the land and its value.
Throughout history, stories have been created to educate and communicate. As children, we are taught right from wrong, and what we need to care for and cherish. Nothing is more important than family, the environment we live in, and the animals we share it with.
Over the last several years, VGF has focused on his art and expanding his painting ability to express his own unique perspective of the environment.
It’s not the story about VGF or even his family though, it’s about the art and the voice behind it. It is about trying to show everyone’s own Australia by allowing all backgrounds to understand and appreciate the beautiful Aboriginal culture that has been in this land for hundreds of thousands of years.
With a strong focus on trying to increase visibility and inclusiveness, VGF artworks express his love for this country and pays homage to our First Nation people.
